athenaPatient is a mobile app that allows patients to access their health information and communicate with their care team. It is only available for patients who have been instructed by their healthcare providers to download and use the app.

With athenaPatient, you can log in quickly and securely using facial recognition or touch ID. This ensures easy access while keeping your data safe.

You can also view your test results as soon as they become available. This includes lab, imaging, and other medical test results.

One of the key features of athenaPatient is the ability to message your care team directly. You can contact them whenever you have questions, ensuring quick and secure communication.

If your healthcare provider supports self-scheduling, you can use athenaPatient to book appointments with your care team and view upcoming visits outside of regular office hours.

The app also allows you to easily check in for appointments and save time by completing any necessary documentation before your arrival. Self check-in is supported by providers who offer this feature.

For added convenience, athenaPatient enables you to attend virtual visits with members of your care team. This includes initiating and participating in telehealth visits. However, please note that this feature is only available if your provider supports virtual visits through athenaTelehealth.

Lastly, the app provides driving directions to your next medical appointment, ensuring you can easily find your way there.

Please keep in mind that in order to use athenaPatient, you must have an existing athenahealth Patient Portal account. After downloading and launching the app, you will need to log in using the same email address and password that you use to access your provider's athenahealth Patient Portal.

If you do not have your Patient Portal account information, your healthcare provider may offer Patient Portal access through their website. Alternatively, you can contact their office to request the correct URL or an email invitation to their Patient Portal.

It is important to note that the athenaPatient app is only available for download and viewing of information in the United States for patients of healthcare providers on the athenahealth network.
